The life style of the society has changed phenomenally in India. The social fabric is changed. Earlier days we used to have a family of structure, wherein all the elders used to be staying in one big family The children used to learn by observing elders, siblings, neighbor. All the skills required as such gross motor skill, fine motor skill, cognitive skill, socializing, language skills used to get developed without much input from the parents. The changed life style is such that this very foundation of the great family is gone. Now the parents are staying in various  cities away from the big family staying together. The family structure is now changed to mother, father and child. Both parents are working and hence child is left to day care home OR with the home maid. We have been reading, observing, experimenting with the golden age children of age 2 to 6 years. We have observed that the child is very well protected at home under the environment of parent, grand parent and other elders surrounding the child. The child needs to explore, experiment, engage in all the environment surrounding the child. A caring and exposure in safe environment will develop the following qualities which are necessary for the child's emotional, social growth. The child need to mix with the children of the same age, child of younger age and child of elder age. The child need to spend time with the children of mixed age group.
