The life style of the society has changed phenomenally in India. The social fabric is changed. Earlier days we used to have a family of structure, wherein all the elders used to be staying in one big family
The children used to learn by observing elders, siblings, neighbor. All the skills required as such gross motor skill, fine motor skill, cognitive skill, socializing, language skills used to get developed without much input from the parents.

The changed life style is such that this very foundation of the great family is gone. Now the parents are staying in various cities away from the big family staying together. The family structure is now changed to mother, father and child. Both parents are working and hence child is left to day care home OR with the home maid.

Children learn by observation and not by teaching. With parents, siblings, neighbors not be available for observation and learning children slowly get attracted to other means of learning i.e. Television, mobile, gadgets etc.

This cycle is very dangerous. Children get swallowed into this and by the time parents release this it is very late.

This very concern gets solved by enrolling children to preschool. In a proper preschool child gets correct material for his learning, experiment, exploration and learns on his own. The civic sense such as eating with ones own hand, keeping control of their school bags, taking care of self hygiene, remaining tidy.

All these habits can be easily imbibed in children at preschool as it gives a pleasing, caring and learning environment.

Developing children as Good Citizen

Dear Parents Upbringing of children is very challenging task. It is not based on instructions. Parents and elders have a very big role in this journey. Parents need to demonstrate right behavior to the children. A very simple things such as getting water for drinking on their own and not asking to be served. Elders need to demonstrate to child that they also take the water on their own and not demand/ask. The child observes this behavior and works as per this. When the child grows up you will notice that child does his work on his own. A simple habit of wrapping bed sheet from one's bed every morning is important, this develops self discipline. All the family members if do the work at home on their own in front of child, child learns this as a standard practice and does this work routinely.
